Christmas #2 is here! Today we will be celebrating with Eric’s mother/stepfather. We actually surprised them and came up yesterday! Once we found a place for the boys to go {Thanks Dad and Carol!} we just shipped them off, grabbed lunch and cookie dough and we were off!
Eric’s mom lives about an hour and 15 minutes away so we don’t get up there as often as we wish so we figured we would head up there the day before.
We drove up. Eric called her to make sure she wasn’t doing anything but didn’t tell her we were coming and then yay we were there! Perfect!
We sat around the table talking, playing this yahtzee card game {which was a lot harder than you would imagine!}, making cookies,
eating cookies,
drinking wine,
eating dinner and watching Trouble with the Curve! {aka one of my favorite movies for sure!} If you haven’t seen it yet you should probably go rent it or buy it because it is totally worth it!
Santa even came last night… well drove by! I don’t think I ever saw a fire company near me drive by with Santa or drive by in general to get everyone in the holiday spirit! That was fun though we stood outside and waved to everyone as they went by! Very cute. Of course it was too dark to take a picture!
Today Eric’s sister and family will be coming up and we will be celebrating Christmas here before leaving to attend a Christmas Party!
