<p>This week marks 4 weeks of meal prepping for the Revolt program I am on. Can you believe it? I&#8217;m half way done. Honestly, I have been really enjoying it, especially the food {past the detox week, of course!} I love trying new ways to make meals and making everything on Sunday is always better! It saves so much time in my day. I&#8217;m even considering staying with the diet even after my 6 weeks. {crazy I know!} You can see the meals I made on todays <a title="WIAW: Revolt Week 4" href="http://itsaharleyyylife.com/wiaw-revolt-week-4/">WIAW</a>.</p>

<p>I did switch things up a bit then what was planned.</p>

<p><strong>Breakfast</strong>: There was no prepping here. I&#8217;m supposed to eat 1/2 cup oatmeal and 4 egg whites but that is just way too much food for me. So every other day I have been going back and forth.</p>
<p><strong>Smoothie</strong>: No prepping here either. I make it when I eat it.</p>
<p><strong>Lunch</strong>: I put the chicken in the crockpot for 8 hours on low. The sweet potatoes I peeled, cut and then put in the oven at 425 degrees for 25 minutes flipping halfway.</p>
<p><strong>Afternoon</strong> <strong>Snack</strong>: I&#8217;m supposed to make a smoothie but I don&#8217;t have a blender bottle to put it in to bring it to work. Instead I ate an apple and a banana.</p>
<p><strong>Dinner</strong>: I cooked the steak with herbs on it in a frying pan. I also put the mushrooms in a frying pan with coconut oil to cook.</p>

<p>I put them all in containers, half of them went into the freezer and that was that. Another successful week of meal prepping! This week I felt like there was less to prep and it only took my mom and I 30 minutes!</p>

I am supposed to be eating 1/2 cup of oatmeal and 4 egg whites but that is just way too much for me before a workout. Instead I have been eating one or the other. For the oatmeal I have been putting some splenda and cinnamon on top or putting chocolate nunaturals {which is awesome btw} . The egg whites I top with some salsa.</p>

This week has been a hot/muggy week so I have been making smoothies after CrossFit. I put <a title="Designer Whey" href="http://itsaharleyyylife.com/designer-whey/">Designer Whey White Chocolate protein</a>, almond milk and frozen fruit in it. Delicious.</p>

Quest Bar, Banana, Apple, Chobani. I have been keeping it to that fun stuff.</p>
<p><strong>Dinner</strong>:<br />
Steak and mushrooms on top of a salad. Yum. When I heat up the mushrooms I get some sauce that comes out of them and I use that as my dressing. So delicious.</p>

<p>I started doing my Revolt posts in my Sweaty Sunday ones but it was just getting way too long! You can see <a title="Sweaty Sunday 5.12.13" href="http://itsaharleyyylife.com/sweaty-sunday-5-12-13/">Week 1</a> and <a title="Sweaty Sunday 5.12.13" href="http://itsaharleyyylife.com/sweaty-sunday-5-12-13/">Week 2</a> by click on them.</p>
<p>Last week I completed <strong>week 3</strong>. Lets break down the review by workouts, food and measurements.</p>
<p><strong>Workouts</strong>:<br />
I still hate doing the cardio ones more than once. I&#8217;m a one workout girl then get rid of it for awhile before doing it again. I have to do the cardio one 3 times a week. The arm workout is the best. It always has me sore afterwards and the next day. I love it! The lower body one is okay. This week I finally figured out where the workout videos were on the website and I love working out to them. After watching one set, I kind of do it by myself but keep it on until the next one. I also love pausing it to complete extra sets! The hardest workout this week was the side to side push-ups! Those are hard especially when you are doing 15 reps.</p>

<p><strong>Food</strong>:<br />
The breakfast was by far my favorite meal of the day. The pancakes were delicious, even when frozen. I just heated them up in the microwave and put pancake syrup on top! I did switch up some meals though. Instead of a smoothie after my workout I ate a quest bar. {by the way don&#8217;t forget about my giveaway going on right now!} Lunch was okay. I&#8217;m not sure I made it right. My afternoon snack of ricotta cheese and strawberries was just okay. I don&#8217;t know if I like the texture of ricotta cheese or the milky taste of it. Dinner was good and for dessert I had a chobani most of the time instead of the mug cake I was supposed to have. {I hate coming home and having to cook something up at 11pm} You can see pictures of what I ate <a title="WIAW: Revolt Week 3" href="http://itsaharleyyylife.com/wiaw-revolt-week-3/">here on my WIAW post</a> and how I made <a title="Revolt Week 3 Meal Prep" href="http://itsaharleyyylife.com/revolt-week-3-meal-prep/">all of my meals in 1 day here</a>. I always do so good Monday- Thursday eating right but when it comes to the weekend I will eat some of the meals but not others.</p>

<p><strong>Measurements</strong>:<br />
I lost some weight this week. I felt really good! I felt strong and healthy. I think once the weekend comes and I get off track, I definitely gain some of the lbs back but my goal weight is 105, I just want some more muscle % and less fat %.</p>
<p><strong>Things I learned from week 3:</strong> It is hard to eat the same food 6 days a week. It works. Doing the workout with smaller weights is sometimes better than trying to do them with heavier ones. Watching workout videos is so much easier than googling how to do them.</p>
<p>I can&#8217;t believe I&#8217;m half way done with the Revolt plan. 3 more weeks to go!</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>On Saturday I competed in my first CrossFit Competition. If you are a reader or a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/ItsAHarleyyyLife">facebook follower </a>you would already know this but if not, I did!</p>

<p>The competition was for <strong>Armed Forces Day</strong> and the WOD was named after a fallen local soldier, <strong>US Army Staff Sergeant Sean Flannery</strong> from Wyomissing, PA, who was killed on 11/22/10 in Kandahar, Afghanistan.</p>
<p>Every time I walk, run or workout for a cause that is close to me, it always makes it easier to do. I couldn’t believe the atmosphere at the competition. The support, the cheering, the energy, the hard work and determination, it was addictive!</p>
<p>I competed in the scaled division. {There were three competitive, athletic and scaled} My WOD was:</p>

<p>I was really close to doing the athletic one which was 11 kipping pull-ups and 21 front squats at 45lbs but I didn’t think I could do more than a couple rounds of 11 kipping pull-ups.</p>

<p>Instead I tried to do as many jumping pull-ups as I could before moving to a blue band for some and then back to jumping pull-ups.</p>

<p>The squats were with 25lb plates. Squats come easy to me.</p>
<p>There was no winner in the scaled version so I wanted to push myself as much as I could. I definitely did that. You can check out the video below.</p>

<p>I am so happy the owner of my box talked me into doing this competition. It helped a lot doing my first competition at my own box but I’m definitely interested now in competing elsewhere. I fell in love with CrossFit a little bit more {I didn’t think that was possible} after this day. It was so amazing to see everyone compete in different levels, kick some major butt and cheer everyone on!</p>

<p>After my workout I ate these awesome Paleo Chocolate Chip cookies and had this awesome drink that I am now in love with! I&#8217;m not usually a fan of carbonated stuff but this stuff is AWESOME! I highly recommend it.</p>

<p>Now lets go through my days!</p>
<p><strong>Monday</strong>: Revolt Week 3 Cardio was fun. I realized that I can watch the Revolt workout videos which I learned I was doing some of the exercises different then she wanted me too. If I didn&#8217;t know the workout I would just look it up on YouTube and do it that way. The Cardio workout is the same format as <a title="Sweaty Sunday 5.5.13" href="http://itsaharleyyylife.com/sweaty-sunday-5-5-13/">Week 1</a> and <a title="Sweaty Sunday 5.12.13" href="http://itsaharleyyylife.com/sweaty-sunday-5-12-13/">Week 2</a> just different workouts.</p>
<p>On Monday I made a goal for myself to run 2 miles a day this week. When I used to have a gym membership I would always run for 20 minutes as a warm-up. I don&#8217;t really know when that went away but I need to do it again. I feel so much better.</p>
<p><strong>CrossFit</strong>: The skill was a 1 Rep Max Overhead Squat from the rack. I had a 15lb PR. woot woot. That is what happens when you take it from the bar instead of have to clean it first. Also, I didn&#8217;t concentrate on the weight I just kept piling and piling it on!</p>

<p>For the WOD we got to pick 1 of 2 workouts which was a lot of fun. I picked the one above and guess what?&#8230; get ready for this&#8230; I did all of the pull-ups as kipping pull-ups. Yes, you read that right, I am moving up in the world.</p>
<p><strong>Tuesday</strong>: Revolt Week 3 Legs. My legs were sore from Monday so when I saw Tuesday was all legs I knew it was going to be fun. I watched the video again and it really helped. I love the ab workout on leg days!</p>
<p>I then ran 2 miles. I have been running my miles without music. I feel like I run a lot faster without it because I kind of just want to get it over with. This week has been some of the best splits I&#8217;ve had in awhile!</p>
<p><strong>CrossFit</strong>: The skill was Each Minute on the Minute {EMOM} for 6 Minutes 2 Deadlifts at 75%. I did 100lbs, which was probably like 77% but whatevs.</p>

<p>The WOD was awful. I hated it. I couldn&#8217;t remember what it was from the night before so I didn&#8217;t really know what I was going to have to do until I got in there. I cursed at myself a little. I think I do burpees wrong. I tuck my knees in to stand up and I think that makes my legs work a lot harder then they are supposed to. Gotta work on that.</p>
<p><strong>Wednesday</strong>: This day was a Revolt rest day which meant I had 30 more minutes to relax/workout. I decided to run 3 miles instead of 2. I found this new route around town that I now like to run for 3 miles so that was nice. I also have been switching up my 2 mile runs to a different route each week. Keeps things interesting.</p>
<p><strong>CrossFit</strong>: The skill was bench presses. We were supposed to do 5 rounds of 3 but I did max instead and failed each time. We had double the people we usually have there so we had to heats to get everyone through so I felt like I was rushing.</p>

<p>The WOD didn&#8217;t look bad on paper but it was pretty rough. I used 40lbs for my squat cleans and that was enough. I was sore from the day before. {RX was 95, are you kidding me?}</p>
<p><strong>Thursday</strong>: I did my Revolt workout which was the same as Monday. Now that I found the Revolt workout videos I like doing them so much more! It is always fun to workout &#8216;with someone&#8217;.</p>
<p>I then kept my 2 mile streak going {or I hope that is what it was because it was pouring down rain so I didn&#8217;t wear my watch} I was soak and wet after the run. It was fun though. Sometimes you need to just feel the rain drops hitting your face when you run&#8230; you know?</p>
<p><strong>Friday</strong>: The revolt workout was arms. It was tough. My triceps and shoulders were killing me! I ran 2 nice and slow miles.</p>
<p><strong>CrossFit</strong>: The skill was pistols. I like them. I can pretty much do them if I stand on a 5lb skinny plate. These burn my quads like crazy though and it sometimes bothers my knee and since I had my <a title="Armed Forces Day" href="http://itsaharleyyylife.com/armed-forces-day/">CrossFit competition </a>the next I didn&#8217;t want to do it too many times.</p>

<p>The WOD was fun. Pushups, sit-ups and squats. I was really going to take it easy because pushups and squats probably wouldn&#8217;t make me feel good the next day when I&#8217;m doing pull ups and squats but oh well. I pushed it and killed it. 11 1/3 +2 rounds in 10 minutes! woot woot!</p>
<p><strong>Saturday</strong>: I woke up and completed my Revolt Cardio Workout as fast as possible {I really didn&#8217;t want to workout that day!} After that I bummed around a little bit until I finished my 2 miles. I completed my <a title="Half Marathon: A Plan" href="http://itsaharleyyylife.com/half-marathon-a-plan/">half marathon training</a> for the week! Which feels awesome!</p>

<p>It is impossible to find one favorite weekend event so I&#8217;ll just list all of them!<br />
<strong>Saturday</strong>: <a href="http://lancastersertomabbq.com/">Sertoma Chicken BBQ</a> {this is the largest BBQ in the world!} &amp; CrossFit Competition<br />
<strong>Sunday</strong>: Breakfast to celebrate my Dads birthday &amp;<a href="http://www.spookynooksports.com/"> Spooky Nook Open House </a>{the largest sports complex in the nation!}</p>
<p>It is definitely going to be an awesome weekend!</p>

<p><strong>Favorite Workouts</strong>: I have been running at least 2 miles each day this week and have been loving it! It isn&#8217;t even taking that much time out of my day like I thought it would! I mean it is only 20 minutes. I haven&#8217;t been getting a lot of sleep at night so I have more time to workout.</p>
