I told you guys a couple of weeks ago that I signed up for the Hershey 10K in April!

HERSHEY HALF

I asked for your help in coming up with a plan and of course you guys jumped right to the opportunity and told me about Hal Higdon Training Novice 10K plan! THANK YOU FOR THAT! This past weekend I put the plan into my google calendar and now I am setup to begin!

All of the Cross Training and Stretch days that Hal had in his plan I made CrossFit! I also switched rest days to Sundays and Long Run days on Saturdays but I’m sure that could probably switch every now and then. There is only one day a week that I will be doing CrossFit and Running.

I’m happy I could kind of change this plan a little bit so that I can fit CrossFit in it still 4 days a week!

My plan starts on February 18th! Lets hope the temperature warms up by then!

Questions: Do you use a training guide to help you on runs you haven’t ran before? Are you in the middle of one now?

Looks like a great plan. I tend to only half use plans but always nice to have some sort of road map!

I used Hal’s plan for my half marathon in 2011 and loved it, and plan on using it again this time around!

I am currently in the middle of my team in training training plan. I do a lot better with a training plan or guide. It helps to know which days I need to run so I can schedule around them. Your plans looks good. Good luck!!

Great job getting a plan in place! It sounds like you have figured out a way to make everything work for you!

I have always used the Hal Higdon training plans and love that I have a guide keeping me on track. I am currently training for the Shamrock 1/2 in Virginia Beach in March and the Green Bay Full in May. I have both plans written out on my calendar and they fit together almost perfectly.

I am WAY too sketchy to stick to any time of plan… I do what I want when I want… not the best quality in me ;-) But you are awesome!! Go girl!!

I started out following the training plan provided by runDisney for the Princess Half BUT I’ve kind of stopped following it at this point! Basically, I’m just trying to increase my mileage every weekend. For some reason, I’m not all that nervous about completing the race — this will likely come back to bite me.
