Remember when I told you a couple of months ago that I was going to Boston. Well…. it is finally here TOMORROW! OMG I can’t believe it went so fast! If you don’t remember I am going for the Healthy Living Summit!
I’m staying with these amazing girls!
Danielle from DishNDash
Mindy from Just A One Girl Revolution
Min from Savor The Rainbow
I’ve been chatting with them ever since the day I bought my tickets to attend and I can’t wait to meet them!
My agenda while I am there is AWESOME! So I’m going to share it with you not only for me but so you can see how great of a time I’m going to have! (:
Thursday:
I arrive at Boston around 4 pm. I haven’t figured out a way to get to the hotel yet. I looked up how much a cab would cost: 31 dollars average. That seems like a lot but I haven’t found anyone else getting in around that time and I don’t feel brave enough trying to figure out their subway system by myself. Who knows. Maybe I’ll call Eric and have him talk me through it!
8:00PM J.P. Licks Mini-Mingle. Frozen Yogurt. Yum Yum!
Friday:
8AM- 9:30AM. I along with 19 other HLS Attendees will be taking a Free Conditioning Fitness Class. I can’t wait! I love trying new workouts so I can’t wait for another new adventure.
11:30AM-1:00 PM – Whole Food Lunch Mingle. I’ve always wanted to go to Whole Foods! So this is the time to do it right? (:
2:00PM - Check-In & Swag Pick Up. I can’t wait to see all the SWAG I get! (:
2:30 PM - Summit Kickoff with a Greatist Discussion and Blog Workshop Open Hours.
4PM- Photo Walk Mini Mingle {I haven’t decided if I’m going to do this yet.} I don’t really have a camera but I do want to do a little walking around the area.
7-10PM- Cocktail Party!
Saturday:
6AM- Running Group- 4-6 Miles. {I always run better with people}
8AM - Wild Harvest Breakfast
8:45AM – Summit Opening & Intro Time
9:35AM – Reebok hosted Crossfit WOD {Super excited about this!}
Now the Sessions start:
10:45AM- Hosting A Virtual Challenge.
The Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge sounded like a fun little thing to host. What once seemed “little” quickly turned in to a lot of work, a ton of fun and a great way to engage with readers. Over the years, reoccurring challenges have great opportunities to grow – in this challenge’s fourth year, there were over 1,000 participants. Amanda Brooks from Run to the Finish will discuss how her successful challenge got started, lessons learned along the way and guidelines for running your own successful challenge on your own blog.
11:35AM- Blog Design Bootcamp {Even though Blogging with Brands sounds good too!}
A beautiful blog design can do a lot for your blog’s growth. We’re all looking for something to catch a new visitors’ attention and keep them coming back for more. Take some time during your weekend in Boston to get inspired to step up the looks of your site! Learn how to revamp your blog to make it both more user-friendly and eye-catching in this mini blog design boot camp. This session, led by Julie Grice of Savvy Blog Services and Savvy Eats, will focus largely on design for self-hosted WordPress blogs.
1:30 PM - Get in the Kitchen with Genie and Kim
2:25 PM – Newbie Q & A Discussion Session
We’ve all been there in the beginning of our blogging journeys; feeling like a newbie in a sea of veterans. If you’re at the start of your own blog career, you don’t want to miss this Newbie Q & A Discussion session. Join the conversation with blends at all different blog-ages, shapes and sizes. Courtney Horan from Sweet Tooth Sweet Life will be leading the session, joined by a panel of wonderful women: Sarah of The Smart Kitchen, Alicia from The Wannabe Foodie, andChase from The Chase Project. These girls will facilitate your questions and bring important topics to the table for the whole group to participate in together. Share your struggles and successes, ask your own must-know questions and get advice from bloggers who have been there.
3:10 PM - Workout Break with Drink Chia
3:30 PM - Social Media: Keeping up with Trends
With the ever-changing climate of social media, it’s hard to know what’s “in” and what will help grow your blog audience. Heather Montgomery from Running with Sass describes ways to utilize social media in conjunction with your blog to help grow your readership. The main topics of discussion will focus on utilizing Facebook Fan Pages, Twitter, YouTube, Foursquare, and instagram.
4:20 PM - Closing Remarks

8:00 AM - Group Fun Run/Walk
9:00 – 11:00 AM - Round Table Discussions to accompany Breakfast
