It’s A Family Reunion

in Family, Weekend Fun

Yesterday for Labor Day my moms side of the family decided to have a family reunion. My mom is 1 of 5 and each one of them have a bunch of kids who also have a bunch of kids so we were always quite large and now we are even bigger. It’s fun to see all the kids grow up.

I am the baby of the family so I feel like I’m always on a different wavelength then everyone else.
Shortly after getting there the food was ready!
12 - 5 12 - 3 12 - 4 We had hot dogs and burgers and then everyone brought a side. There were deviled eggs, beans, potatoes, macaroni/potato salad, and I made buffalo chicken dip! Yum to the Crockpot recipe. I will have to share it with you guys! I always thought the recipe looked so hard to make but it was so easy and perfect!

Here was my plate! YUM! Everything was so good!
Of course the desserts weren’t far away!

OMG they were so good. The ones on the left were coco puffs with caramel holding it together. There were a bunch of different mini cupcake: chocolate peanut butter, chocolate chocolate, yellow and chocolate, and pumpkin spice. There were also two pies a chocolate peanut butter and a vanilla.

Eric liked the bite size cupcakes haha. Next thing I knew Eric was out playing Frisbee golf with my uncle and nephew. They were gone for a few hours. I mingled and people watched haha. When Eric came back we hung out for awhile and got a little goofy.

Oh look that is baby Julia! (:

The family reunion wrapped up and we headed home.
Before we left we noticed something was wrong with the TV in the family room. It kept blinking a red light that said standby or something weird. It wasn’t a good sign to say the least. So we unplugged it before we left and when we came back we plugged it in again… no go. So we headed out to HHGregg.

I was never a fan of that place when I went before but we actually had a really nice guy help us get a TV.

There is our new TV!
We have to wait for the stand to come in though before we put it together.

Questions: What did you do for Labor Day?
Do you have family reunions?

I had a reunion of the Brown family in Colorado. Got to put flowers on my grandfathers grave on his 45the anniversary of death. Which he is your great grandfather. Met many of the Brown family. Just want to tell you they are a great bunch to know. If you ever get the opportunity to check out the Brown side you should.

yay to family reunions and good food! i’m lucky in that most of my family (immediate family… brothers/sisteres/first cousins) live in town and we do get together very often… last summer we had a giant family reunion with second and third cousins and distant aunts and uncles.. it was fun!! <3 family!

I enjoyed an awesome day with Linda! Even though it rained and there were no BBQ’s to attend we took in a movie and cooked a London Broil on the grill! One day we all need to get together and have a BBQ!
