Life is about to change AGAIN! Let me first tell you how blessed I am for another great opportunity.
You see I got a job right out of college after my internship at my local news station. Since then I have been just moving up the ladder.
Throughout the 2 and a half years that I have been there I have done these jobs:
Weekend Editor.
Noon Producer {while the producer was on maternity leave}
4:30 am Producer {I started this show}
Weekend Producer/Assignment desk W-F night
5pm Producer {while the producer was on maternity leave}
In between there I have filled in and produced every single newscast!
It has definitely been a wild ride and now another opportunity has come my way:

I am now the producer of a brand new newscast starting in 2 weeks at my station! I can’t wait. This is HUGE! Such a big responsibility that I can’t wait to tackle head on!
That means my schedule is going to change AGAIN! I am pretty excited about it too! I have been doing M-F 9am-5:30pm for about a month and a half now and I can’t seem to get it together. My schedule now consist of waking up at 5am, CrossFit at 6am, Work at 9am, sleep at 9pm. I honestly feel like it is impossible to find enough quality time to blog. I can only go to CrossFit at 6am or 6pm and well I am rushing to make the 6pm and that means I’m not getting home until REALLY late. Not a fan. I do love having weekends off though and seeing Eric every night!
My new schedule will be M-F 2pm-10:30pm. Now I can wake up at 7am… eat breakfast… blog… and then go to CrossFit… come home get ready… blog some more or do some errands and then go to work! Plus I am loving that 10:30pm isn’t really that late! That is seriously like the perfect time to come home! Not toooo late! Plussss I have weekends off! One downfall to my new schedule will be that I won’t really see Eric at all during the week {haha} but we will have our weekends together to relax and go on dates. Plus it really isn’t too bad because Eric just got a paid internship that is at nights! We can both just really focus on our future.
Questions: Have you ever switched times at work? Did it work out for the better? What hours do you like better to work?

j/k
Blah blah blah…did you say something? I just see Sink!!! Haha! Congrats…love you! #136!
hahahah! (: Love this comment! I was going to crop him out but thought I definitely couldn’t do that. (:
Wow, congrats lady!!!! You totally deserve this exciting new opportunity!
So proud of you!
Thanks Lauren! (:
I think I like your new schedule. Congrats on the new producing job!
Thank youuu! (:
Congrats! That’s awesome!
My husband and I are on opposite schedules so we don’t see much of each other during the week. I work 7-3 and he works 3-11! He should be starting 11-7 soon though, so we’ll see each other for dinner at least!
Eric and I have been loving seeing each other for most nights for dinner so it is going to go back to not seeing each other a lot but weekends will be us time! (:
OMG OMG OMG OMG THIS IS HUGE NEWS!!! I used to work in TV News as well! This is an amazing honor, I am SOOOO THRILLED FOR YOU! WAHOOOO!!!!! Seriously, I cannot contain myself. You must think I am a quack – LOL – oh wait a minute, I am! Ah ha ha.
In terms of hours I would like to work in a day…. MY IDEAL (which is really pushing it, I am like in GiGi LALA Land when I say this)… is 10-4 – Ah ha ha, do those hours even exist? I am a huge morning person and when 5pm rolls around I just wanna curl up in a ball. But I say 10am start because I LOVE working out before I head to work but I don’t want to wake at 4am to do it! I am a morning person but… that girl wakes up at 5 — When I worked in news, up at 2am every other day baby!
I am stoked you’re loving your new schedule! For me, 10:30 is past my bed time! ahhh ha ha!
Thanks Girl! (: 10-4 would definitely be perfect! Or a stay at home doggy mom! That is what I tell Eric I want to do everyday. He says not yet… boo!
oh wow!!! congrats, danielle! that is so wonderful for you!! i am sure you will be wonderful at your new position! <3 i work 7a-5p so i get up early and go to bed early! but i like it that way! yay, you!!
Thanks Jenna! Going to bed early is definitely a big part of my life now. I am going to have to switch gears and bring a lot of coffee with me! (:
Congratulations! It sounds like your new schedule will be great for you. I pretty much work from 8:30 t0 6:30, and that is pretty much dictated by traffic.
Thank you!
Congratulations!!! That is so exciting
Thank You Madeline!
Congrats. I like your new schedule too. I like the idea of having everything done before work.
me too! Thanks Abby!
Congrats on the new job! The schedule you have would suit me, too, because I would just love coming home knowing you can only relax that late. Plus, I HATE having to rush around in the morning between the gym/getting ready/eating. It’s such a hassle sometimes because so many things can go wrong to just set everything into a whirlwind. haha.
YAY for new opportunities!
Thanks Lauren! I definitely agree running around in the morning is awful!
girl! how friggen exciting!!!!! Congratulations on moving up the ladder!! For some reason writing that made me think of the Jeffersons Movin’ On up Theme song.
haha Thanks Jessie! (:
Congrats! That sounds like a fantastic opportunity! I wish you the best of luck!
Thank you Amy!
I used to work second or third shift at a convenience store (3pm – 11pm or 11pm – 7 am), not a job I would recommend btw, and while I hated the job, I actually liked those hours. On the weekdays I could go to dinner with my friends then work 3rd shift or I could work second shift on the weekends then go out after. Not too bad, plus 3rd shift always made extra cash. Something I needed when paying for college on my own.
Congrats Danielle, you are doing amazing things
