Sweaty Sunday 12.1.13

Wait, wait, wait… back up… we are in December? When the heck did that happen! Oh boy, I guess I should get started on my November wrap up post haha. Stay tuned….

Today we are talking about workouts and for a holiday week I think I did pretty good!

Monday: I went to CrossFit. For the skill we worked on a complex: Snatch Grip Deadlift, Hang Power Snatch and Power Snatch. We did 7 of them. I got up to a pretty heavy weight for me, for snatches that is.

Monday WOD

The WOD made me feel extremely weak, like what I was talking about last Sunday. Makes me want to get back into 2 a days. We shall see… things are changing!

Tuesday: My work schedule was all weird this week so after work I went to the gym. I RAN 2 MILES! I know, I know this is something none of us saw coming. It was nice to run a little and not worry at all about how fast I was running on the treadmill. After running I did a tabata ab workout and some front squats. This was the first time I ever used the free weights at the gym! I’m not sure how much I was doing because I don’t know how much the bar weighted but it was fun. I then ended my gym time with a little game.

Have you seen this Browling game with a rower? If not definitely check it out. I did it about 7 times before giving up. I got close a couple of times. It was fun to make rowing into a game instead of feel like a workout.

Wednesday: I went to CrossFit. The skill was front squats (of course it was since I did them the night before). We worked on 1/4 front squats. That means you go the whole way down come up until you make a 90 degree angle with your legs and then go back down before coming back up to standing position.

The WOD was one like they did in the CrossFit competition last weekend. A lot of work but it was a nice hard workout.

Thursday: I couldn’t make it to the only CrossFit time available because I was working so I did a workout at home using Gaiam TV. I’ve heard great things about Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 so I did the week 1, episode 1 workout. I did the workout while watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade which made the workout fly on by.

Friday: Black Friday Shopping… that counts, right?

Saturday: CrossFit. We got straight into the WOD.

I honestly thought I would LOVE this WOD. That it would be hard/challenging but I’d pump it out fast. Boy was I wrong. This WOD made me feel like I haven’t worked out in MONTHS! Every bear complex was hard. That is definitely not like me. I felt good with the pull-ups though.

Sunday: Rest Day or maybe I’ll do another workout off of Gaiam I haven’t decided yet.

Questions: Did you ever use Gaiam to do a workout? Have you ever completed a Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 workout? Is it easier for you to do a workout that is more like a game than a workout?

I love jillian workouts!! Shes got some amazing ones! I use on demand for workouts a lot but havent tried gaiam tv. Some of my best i just find on youtube!
