This week was a pretty good workout week. My body was SORE from CrossFit and I think I pushed it until I NEEDED a rest day just to keep moving!

Monday: 9am Crossfit. The skill was 1 rep max strict press. I got up to 63lb. I thought I could do more but I attempted 5 more pounds 4 times and failed so called it a day.
monday WOD
I always enjoy doing weighted bar stuff in WODs it makes it more fun than doing burpees and pullups etc. The front squats were definitely tough but fun. I did them at 63lbs.  I probably could’ve used a thicker band for chest to bar but I got through it.

Tuesday: 9am Crossfit. The skill today was 5 rounds of 4 bent over rows. I really pushed myself with this skill until I got up to 65lb.tuesday wod
This WOD was tough but probably my favorite all week. The power cleans were rough but it felt good that I could keep doing them. I used 55lbs. The rest wasn’t that bad either. Even though it was 12 minutes and hardcore moving!

Wednesday: 9am CrossFit. My body wanted to kill me for attending class on this day but when I saw the skill was working on kipping everything I didn’t want to miss it! I worked on my kipping pullups and kipping handstand pushups. {By the way my goal by March 1st is to be able to do a kipping handstand pushup!}
wed WOD
15 thrusters! oh boy call it hard! I only had 35lbs on my bar and it was still rough. The box jumps of course were the easiest thing!

Thursday: Rest Day

Friday: 9am CrossFit. The skill was rope climbing. I kind of wish I would’ve known this before hand because I would’ve tried a different pair of shoes then my reeboks. They aren’t the best for rope climbing because it doesn’t grab on to the rope. I did pretty well though. I think with the right shoes and a little more practice I’d be able to do them.
friday wod
The WOD SUCKED! I did so bad on it. Sometimes I feel like when I have to lift something over my head it makes it so much worst. Plus I hated all 3 exercises in the WOD. Don’t get me wrong if you let me do a burpee without lifting my hands over my head and clapping its so much easier. I don’t know what it is with that little clap. I only got through 11 reps until I started the 10 rep AMRAP. Oh well.

Saturday: Rest Day

Sunday: It is actually pretty nice outside today so I’m thinking I’m going to go on a 2 mile run with my garmin! (:

This week coming up:
Monday- 9 am CrossFit
Tuesday- 9 am CrossFit
Wednesday- 9 am CrossFit or Rest Day
Thursday- 9 am CrossFit or Rest day
Friday- 9 am CrossFit
Saturday- Rest Day
Sunday- Open Gym or Running

Questions: Do you find it harder when you have to lift stuff over your head in a workout? What was your favorite workout?

I’m working on my forearm strength too! Crossfit hurts but makes those weak areas stronger, I feel it!

I love shoulders to overhead movements — mostly bc I love the split jerk haha! Awesome WODs!! The fun part of CF is showing us all our weaknesses :)
