This weekend has been crazy to say the least. Good news is I had a pretty productive workout week. So let’s jump right on in to Sweaty Sunday!
This is what I had planned:
CrossFit, 3 Miles 5 miles
8 Miles 10K Race
Sunday: Rest Day
Okay, now that I look at that up above and how I didn’t follow my schedule at all, maybe I had just an okay workout week.
Monday: I went to CrossFit in the morning. The skill was squat cleans at 80%. I went heavy. The skill definitely felt like a workout.
I definitely went overboard with the WOD. I did a weight for the front squats that was just too much. One round would’ve been plenty to do. The second round I was definitely dragging.
Tuesday: I went for a 5 mile run! Can you believe that, a run, by myself and I did it! I had some work I wanted to do and I really just wanted to hang out on the couch longer in the morning so I skipped CrossFit and went to a path nearby to run. It was a nice peaceful run. I really enjoyed it and I think I will have to do it more often.
Wednesday: I headed to CrossFit. We didn’t have a skill because the WOD was a million skills in one. Welcome to the ‘Dirty 30′.
I wasn’t happy with my performance with this WOD at all. The 3 skills that I hate the most were at the end and I just dragged getting there. I hate wallballs, burpees and double unders. Whoever thought putting them together at the end of the wall… ‘I hate you”.
Thursday: The skill at CrossFit was a 3 rep max back squat. I was aiming for 100lbs but hit 113lbs. That is only 10lbs less then my current 1 rep max. I obviously need to fight for my 1 rep max again.
The WOD was actually pretty easy for me. I’m good at ring rows and the thrusters I went a little light on. I could get through all 9 reps without putting the bar down. Next time I must go heavier.
Friday: I turned it into a rest day.
Saturday: I decided to run a 10K. More on that sometimes this week.
Sunday: Rest Day
So my plan for this week? I don’t know, I’m kind of sick of plans. I clearly don’t follow them anyways and haven’t since my injury. I’ll rest 2 days, run some and go to CrossFit as much as possible. Deal? Deal!
Questions: Do you ever do a weight that is to heavy for you at the gym? Which out of the three: wall balls, burpees and double unders do you hate the most?
