If you haven’t already seen snow this year, I promise you it is probably on it’s way (unless you live in an area that doesn’t get snow, obviously). However, you might not be ‘snow blower ready’. Don’t worry though I am coming to your rescue with a workout that will help. I got this idea off of a WOD we did last week at CrossFit. It was different than anything I ever did so I thought I would just change it up a little bit.
This is what I came up with:
You do 3 dumbbell thrusters. You take 2 dumbbells put them on your shoulders, but still holding them, squat down, stand back up and then do a push press and raise the dumbbells over your head. All of that equals 1 rep.
Next 6 push-ups. Remember to keep your elbows in and work your triceps.
Last do 9 pistols alternating legs. This is better to see in a YouTube video so click here to see a demonstration. If you can’t do a pistol you can just do walking lunges instead.
Count how many rounds you can do in 10 minutes and you are finished!
As always, if you have any questions about a workout email me at dbrow814 at gmail dot com. You can also leave a question in the comment section.
I’m also looking for guest posts for Tone It UP Tuesday. So if you have an awesome workout and want to share it let me know!
Questions: Do you like the workouts where there is a ‘buy in’ before you can even start the workout? Do you know how to do a pistol?
Disclaimer: I am not a certified personal trainer. This is just a workout that I came up with to help my own fitness journey
