tone it up tuesday

Today’s Tone it UP Tuesday post comes from the handy dandy workout website Tribesports.

Tribesports is celebrating RUNNING this month with the Boston and London Marathons coming up! To become a better runner it takes more than just running, you need to work the rest of your body too and that includes core strength.

Therefore, Tribesports came up with this core challenge!

The Core Challenge
I know I have to work my core right now. It is time to get ready for that bathing suit weather!

You can read more about the benefits of a strong core for running on Tribesports website. Watch out for more coming from the company this month!

Oh and if you are looking forward to the spring race season you should read my 7 steps to get ready for race season first!

Now its your turn: What is your favorite core workout? Do you finish a workout sooner when you know it is a challenge?

It was tougher than it looks – I underestimated it because I thought 1 minute plank sounded “easy” but with all the rest it was a great workout!! Thanks again for posting!

That’s pretty hardcore for the core! I usually do occasional yoga and some sports but haven’t tried this core training. I have read an article that your performance in sports can be greatly affected depending on how strong your core muscles are. Thanks for sharing this! This will be my guide for core training.
