We Are Back!

Well guess what everyone? Eric and I are back from our mini vacation to Atlantic City. Lets do a quick recap since I didn’t take many pictures.

Friday:
We packed our bags {I took a whole suitcase PACKED for 2 days… whoops} and headed on what was supposed to be a 2 1/2 hour trip. It actually ended up being closer to 3 1/2 hours because of traffic. We figured it was probably because of the Phillies game that night and rush hour and it being a Friday night. All I guess would’ve added to the pain and agony. When we finally got there we headed up to the penthouse suite at the Wyndham Skyline Towers.

It was reallyyyyy nice. 3 Bedrooms, 2 full baths, laundry, kitchen, living room. Eric and I could live there easily.

This was our room. The bed was huge I fell asleep diagonally and stayed that way all night. {sorry Eric.} The other picture is what our view was. When you closed the curtains it was extremely dark, dark enough that Eric and I slept until 9-9:30am which is very odd for us.
When we got upstairs we ate some spaghetti they made earlier and then hung out and watched the Olympics until Lynda got off work. Then we headed out with her to a nearby bar. That was a lot of fun! We got beat pretty fast though considering it was a really long day and we aren’t used to staying up late {except when at work}.

Saturday:
Like I said earlier we slept in a lot later than usual. Eric made me an “omelette” that turned into scrambled eggs with cheese on top. We watched some more Olympics and then headed to the pool. Eric’s 2 nieces were also there and are full of energy so the pool was a lot of fun! We were there for an hour and then the next thing you knew it was lunch time. We came back upstairs and ate some sandwiches {having a kitchen is so perfect when on vacation. It was nice not having to go out for every meal or actually any at all!}

Next thing you know we were headed to steel pier. If you haven’t been there before its like a little amusement park off of the boardwalk.

Eric and I got all day passes and the girls got tickets. I went on pretty much every ride that they wanted to go on. One thing I learned between that and Knoebels I am getting a little old for rides that go upside down and round and circles. It was still fun though.

After that though Eric and I had to take a nap. We were beat. {gosh we are like an old couple haha} We napped then ate a reallyyyyyy good dinner. Some chicken, mashed potatoes, and peas {delish}!

Eric then decided we should go gamble some. {I mean we were in Atlantic City…right?}
We headed to the Taj Mahal.

We actually ended up even by the time everything was done. We played roulette for like 2 hours and gained 50 dollars. Then I spent 26 or so on slots playing Deuces Wild and some other game that Eric wanted to play.

He used the rest there! We then headed back to the room to watch more Olympics and go to bed.

Check out all of those small cars!

Sunday:
We woke up early, packed our stuff, ate breakfast and had to get ready to head out the door. We had to be out by 10 am.

We dropped the girls off at their house and then headed to my moms house to pick up the boys. We missed them so much! On the way home Harleyyy had an interesting seat.

HUNTER! haha.
I don’t know why Hunter just let him sit on him but it must not have been bothering him too much! With that picture… I end the post! Have a great Monday!

What a great mini-vacation to AC! It really is such a fun place. Hubs & I went there to run the April Fools 1/2 Marathon this past year. Unfortunately we weren’t as lucky as you on the slot machiens :( Glad you had such a great time girl!

I did my research before we left to see if there was a run there. There wasn’t. One day I’ll run one near water haha.
