After I got engaged and realized I would be emailing a million people… and looking at a million contacts… etc. I decided to make this:![]()
That’s right a binder filled with fun wedding stuff! Didn’t I decorate it well? haha I still have to get to that part.
Softball ended on Wednesday for Eric now he is just umping a million days a week {yay wedding money} but now I feel like I can finally pick the wedding process up again.
Lets take a tour of whats inside shall we. ![]()
First up: Vendor Contact Sheet. I put this in the front so when the wedding day comes I don’t have to search for numbers I need. SMART I know.
Next are the Checklists, Budget and Payment Tracker.![]()

All of which are very key to have. The one thing I hate about Wedding Planning checklists is that they all start at a year but I guess not everyone waits 2 years like we do haha. {590 more days} Eric and I still haven’t set a budget but I figured the budget generator would keep us from spending tooooo much! and of course when there is a budget there is a payment tracker. So we know who we paid and when. Don’t want to double pay or forget to pay for that matter! I also have a holder to hold all of our receipts for stuff that we have already bought.
Next tab in my binder: The Reception!![]()

I have examples of my colors. {Which will be great to have when we are out and looking for things to match} A copy of my lease is in there as well as a list of companies that usually work at where I am getting married. It is a list filled with Bakeries, Beer Distributors, Bridal Shops, Caterers, DJ’s, Florists, Limousine and Shuttle Services, Lodging, etc. It has everything. A great resource to have.
Next, I have some tabs for the dress and flowers but nothing is there yet.
Then its Photography.
That is where I have a checklist of photos that should be taken: Before The Ceremony, At Ceremony, and Portraits. This is going to be perfect to have. When we find a photographer we can show them the pictures we absolutely want.
Next: Registry Checklist.
This will give us an idea on things to put on our registry. We will be hopefully moving into a house before the wedding day so I am sure there are going to be some things that we need off of this list that’s why I printed it off. It has lists for the Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom, Cleaning and Organizing, Dining Room, and the Living Room.
Next I have a DIY and Honeymoon area that have nothing there yet.
That’s my Binder.
Isn’t it the best? I can’t wait to start filling it up with more fun wedding projects! (:
So far Eric and I do have a couple of things checked off our list of things to do: The Location. The Bridesmaids and Groomsmans, The DJ, My Wedding Band, a tentative list of guests, and 1/2 of our Engagement Photos.
I’m excited to start picking up the Wedding Planning again. The next thing on the list of things to do: Find a Caterer.
Questions: Did you have a binder? How did you keep up with all of your wedding planning? What do you think is the next thing we should worry about?

My friend gifted me a binder 11 years ago – our Anniversary is in 2 weeks and I pull it out every year. Wait until you see how your tastes will change. We store our in a firesafe box.

You look like you’re on the right track! I’ll need to come to you for advice one day when my big day happens! Haha
Such a smart idea to make a wedding binder! Josh has an excel spreadsheet with all the money numbers, but I feel like having all the contact info as just as important!
You are very organized!

Maybe get a list together to email those vendors so they have each others’ info? or start looking at dress ideas!
