Well today is Wedding Friday Saturday!

I didn’t have time to post this yesterday so I decided to post it today! {call it bad planning!} I wanted to update you guys on all of the awesome meetings I made this week and am looking forward to! Let me tell you I was BUSY and on top of things! {That is a first since the first week of planning!}
wedding planning
Next week I have my first meeting with the Caterer! This is the one that I won money off of already! Steph and I will be going. I guess they will just tell us everything that they provide the day of! I can’t wait to book with them. I get $250 off and then if I book before March 1st I get 15% off! Talk about some savings!

In February, I have two meetings set up: Cupcakes and Wedding Dress!

On the 16th I scheduled for Eric and I to go taste a few cupcakes from a nearby shop! I tossed the idea around about getting a cake… or getting cupcakes with a top tier for Eric and I and I think cupcakes leave more options and are less of a mess at the end of the day! We shall see if we like it! I was thinking about getting 3 different flavors of cupcakes. The place is really good with pricing. It will fall right under my budget for the cupcakes, delivery, top tier and a design!

I scheduled my first Wedding Dress shopping date for February 1st but I had to reschedule due to my new opportunity! The date will now be on the 23rd! I am extremely excited about this. I have no idea what kind of dress I want though so I imagine this day being a try on everything crazy dress shopping day. I of course will do some pinterest hunting before I go though which I’m sure will help!

I definitely need some advice before I go to these meetings. What can you tell me to look for, ask, watch out for, etc! HELP HELP HELP! (:

Hmmm … for wedding dress shopping make sure to bring some heels with you! It makes the look more complete :) Also, don’t be afraid to buy off the rack! I bought my dress that way (it was the same size they would have ordered) and I saved tons of $$. For catering … just have fun! The tastings are the best part ;)

We didn’t do cupcakes for our wedding but we did do a caked with 4 different flavored tiers that way there was still the variety. Ours was lemon with raspberry, red velvet with cream cheese, chocolate with Bavarian cream, and champagne cake and fresh strawberries (< — my fav … I die).

Yay for all of that! I can’t wait. My only advice is don’t feel pressured into making decisions. You can always say, “let me think about it and I will give you a call.” There are a lot of vendors and you should check with at least two or three to compare options. I looked at Lancaster Cupcakes. They look amazing. If you do cupcakes, remember you have to order a dozen for your Mom! LOL! I can’t wait for February 23rd! Whatever you do, your day is going to amazing, you are going to be a beautiful bride and the love between you and Eric is going to shine! xoxo

Ahh so exciting and fun! A little piece of advice would be to get what dress you feel amazing in!…have some ideas but don’t be afraid to try on something that you normally wouldn’t try! You might be surprised and end up loving it! Have fun!

So exciting! When you go wedding dress shopping, make sure to try on a lot of dresses — even those that you look at on the rack and are like EW… they look completely different when you are wearing them! Have fun!!

I have no wedding in my near future but I am all for the cupcake idea! I think it’s such a cute idea because you can get full cupcakes or even mini cupcakes! It’s better than have a huge cake you have to cut for all of your guests vs. just the two of you. Cupcakes just make it less stressful which is definitely what you need on your wedding day :-)

Good luck dress shopping! The only advice I can give is do not settle for a dress you don’t absolutely LOVE!

Wedding dress shopping is so exciting. I thinks it’s a good idea to browse around, check pinterest, etc. before you go. And take a few friends, relatives that will help, be honest, etc.

So so exciting! I loved dress shopping!! You will look great in anything. I may look through bridal magazines still today and pick out what dresses I would want if C and I got married again :-)

I think the cupcakes are a great idea! Chris’s grandmother refused to come to the wedding if she didn’t get to make the cake so I never go to pick out that stuff!!
